Focus and Scope
Nagasena is an open acess. peer-reviewd journal published twice a year in July and Desember.
Nagasena focuses on issues communication science publications includes:
a. Studies in communication science in general also in Buddhist perspective, communication theory, and approaches in communication, interpersonal communication, group communication, and organizational communication.
b. Political communication, including the strategies of political communication, political campaigns, political marketing, governance, public policy, and political parties.
c. Development of communication, in general such as the communication planning, communication and contemporary issues, and communication management also communication development in Buddhist perspective.
d. Communication science in the study of psychology, social culture, Buddhist perspective include in the field of communication sociology, communication psychology, communication and local wisdom, and intercultural communication.
e. Media studies, including the scope of journalism, mass communication, mass media management, media content analysis, and new media studies.
f. Public Relations (PR), consisting of human relations, corporate social responsibility (CSR), media relations, public affair, marketing communications, and advertising

Peer Review Process
The journal employs peer-review mechanism where each submit article should be anonymously reviewed by expert peers appointed by the editor. All manuscript submissions will be initially screened whether the manuscript has follow journal scope and author guidelines. All submitted manuscript will be screened using ithenticate for plagiarism checking before being sent to reviewers. Manuscript exceeding 30% in a plagiarism check will be automatically rejected.
The manuscript will be sent to section editor and will be reviewed by at least two anonymous reviewers. Every manuscript submitted to the Nagasena will go through an Editorial Review and Double Blind Peer Reviews. The decision on manuscript is made by the Editorial Board meeting.
Reviewer’s decision.
The reviewers will provide the following recommendations:
- Accepted; means that the manuscript is acceptable for publication
- Accepted with minor revisions; means that the manuscript is acceptable for publication once it is revised in response to the reviewers’ concerns
- Accepted with major revisions; means that substantive inadequacies in the manuscript, such as data analysis, the main theory used, and rewriting of paragraphs, need to be revised
- Rejected; means that the manuscript is not acceptable for publication or the given reviews relate to very basic issues
Open Access Policy
All articles published by the NAGASENA: Jurnal Ilmu Sosial dan Komunikasi are openly accessible on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports greater global knowledge exchange. It means every reader has free and unlimited access to the full-text of all articles published in NAGASENA, and every reader is free to re-use the published article if proper citation of the original publication is given.
Article Processing Charges (APCs) & Article Submission and Accepted
Nagasena: Jurnal Ilmu Komunikasi Buddha does not charge any article processing fee of article submission and Accepted fees: 0,00 (IDR)
Publication Ethics
This statement clarify the ethical behavior and legal standards of all parties involved in the publishing process of Nagasena including authors, editorial board members, reviewers, and publishers. This journal expects all parties to understand this ethical policy before submitting or accepting to review a manuscript. It frowns at and will not tolerate any form of copyright abuse or publishing malpractice. This is in accordance with our commitment and determination to prevent ethical misconduct whom we recognize as a growing problem in academic and publishing circles. Plagiarism screening will be conducted by Nagasena Editorial Board using Turnitin.
